Silkeborg driver returns to STEP Motorsport for the season finale at FDM Jyllandsringen.
It’s been a long season for 16-year-old racing talent Sebastian Schou. For much of 2024, he’s focused on finding sponsors to support his racing ambitions, watching from the sidelines as others raced. Now, for the Nordic 4 Championship finale, he’s back in the driver’s seat with STEP Motorsport, and he’s especially excited to race on his home track. -I’m very grateful to STEP Motorsport for giving me this opportunity to get back on track. It’s been tough watching the team from the sidelines and seeing others give it their all, so I’m incredibly motivated to return and finish the season with a strong race, says Schou. STEP Motorsport’s team manager, Morten Dons, is equally pleased to have Schou back on the grid: -Sebastian is a talented driver with a fantastic personality, and throughout the season, he’s remained an integral part of our team, absorbing all the knowledge and experience he could. It’s tough for any racer to sit out, but he’s handled it well, which is why I’m giving him the chance to drive in the finale with our fifth car.

Schou approaches the race with respect for his fellow competitors, who are vying for the championship title: -I’ll be racing for my own chance, of course, but since it looks like the championship will be decided in the last race of the weekend, I’ll need to be careful not to interfere in that battle. It’s an extra challenge, but I’ll do my best, he says. Schou is also inviting potential and current sponsors to experience the race firsthand. -STEP has a great setup for my guests to enjoy the finale in a fantastic atmosphere, so I’m hoping to bring a lot of people out to the race. We also need to explore options for a full season in 2025, he adds. The DM-Final at FDM Jyllandsringen will take place on September 28-29 and will be streamed live on YouTube.
