STEP Signs Greek Karting Talent for Nordic 4

17. December 2024

George Sebastian Pavlopoulos will compete in the Danish Formula Championship in 2025 as the first step on his path to an international motorsport career.

The 14-year-old Greek racer has been one of the top drivers in the Greek Karting Championship since his karting debut in 2021. He has also represented Greece at the Rotax MAX World Finals. Moving into formula racing on Scandinavian circuits with STEP Motorsport marks an exciting next step for George Sebastian:

“I’m really excited to get on track with STEP Motorsport and work with the team to achieve great results together. Transitioning from karting to car racing is a big step, but I’ve been training intensively on my simulator over the last few months, and I believe it will help me get off to a good start,” says George Sebastian Pavlopoulos.

George Sebastian joins STEP Motorsport alongside Viktor Snebjørn Poulsen and Casper Nissen, who are also transitioning directly from karting to the fast-paced Nordic 4 cars in 2025. Team Principal Morten Dons is looking forward to working with the Greek talent in the upcoming season:

“George Sebastian and his family are highly ambitious while maintaining a healthy, balanced approach to his upbringing. That makes them a perfect match for STEP Motorsport, and I’m confident we’ll have a productive and rewarding season together,” says Morten Dons, who feels honored that young karting talents see STEP Motorsport as the ideal platform for entering car racing:

“It’s a recognition of the effort we’ve put into talent development since our founding in 2021. Our primary mission is to prepare young drivers for success in international motorsport, and when they approach us, it confirms that our methods are working. It makes me proud and motivated to keep pushing forward,” Dons adds.

The 2025 Nordic 4 season will take George Sebastian Pavlopoulos to circuits in both Denmark and Sweden, with the championship kicking off at the end of April.
